Strategy & Impact

Over 1000 impact stories told. Hundreds of millions of views.

Millions of actions catalysed. Thousands of lives impacted.

Stories have the power to change the world.

When crafted with intention, stories do more than inform. They shift perspectives, move people emotionally and catalyse action. They build communities, drive volunteering, donations and advocacy, and enable systems change for people, wildlife and ecosystems.

Below are powerful examples of that promise in action.

Social & Environmental Impact

Dignity with Flowers — impact short film.

Role: Head of Content, Our Better World.

The Story:

Each day in India, pesticide-laden temple flowers are discarded into the Ganges river, polluting a vital water source used for drinking and bathing, and harming marine life. Phool (formerly Help Us Green), a social enterprise, intercepts this waste and upcycles the flowers into eco-friendly products, handcrafted by women from Dalit and other marginalised communities, providing them with dignified livelihoods. What began as a response to pollution has become a movement that cleans rivers and empowers people.

The Impact:

  • Over 8 million views, amplifying the issue globally.

  • 1,800 plus new volunteers mobilised.

  • 15-fold increase in visitors to Phool’s site.

  • Sales quadrupled and one product sold every minute at peak.

  • Entire inventory sold out within three weeks of the story launch.

  • Three major corporate deals secured for FloraFoam, their biodegradable styrofoam alternative.

  • 18 per cent increase in employment for marginalised women through financial growth.

  • Partnership with the Tirupati state government to open a new facility, employing 128 more women and recycling 12 additional tonnes of flowers daily.

  • Over 560 partnership conversations to replicate the model across India and Nepal.

“The story allowed us to tell people, ‘This is the true picture.’ The women realised theirs was a story worth telling; people were interested in their stories. They are respected, and their confidence just grew.”

Ankit Agarwal, Co-founder of Phool
